What is Inspirations?
Inspirations is a practical, Bible-based guide designed to support women’s ministry teams in planning and leading women’s ministry in their congregations. Rooted in this year’s (2026/27) theme, “Generation to generation” (Psalm 79:13), it offers biblical content, activities, ideas, and devotions to inspire and equip women for the year ahead.
Purpose and Vision
- Encourages women to live as disciples of Christ and share their faith.
- Focuses on encouragement and spiritual growth in a welcoming environment.
- Based on 2 Timothy 2:2 – passing on the gospel to others.
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” – 2 Timothy 2:2
Just as Paul encouraged Timothy to pass on the things he had heard, we too have been entrusted with the good news of the gospel to pass on to others. This resource is about creating opportunity within our groups to do life together as disciples of Christ and to create a sense of belonging to church family. As women involved in ministering to women, our aim is to encourage others to live for Jesus, grow in faith and to pass that faith on to those they meet in their everyday lives. What a privilege this is, and it is good to prepare well as we seek to serve Jesus.
How to use the resource?
- Share the resource with your team and allow time for preparation.
- Read through the guide individually before meeting as a team.
- Reflect on the theme and relevant Bible passages.
- Choose ideas which would fit well with the needs of your women.
- If you haven’t used ideas from Inspirations before, try to prepare one as a team.
What’s inside?
- Six devotions: Biblically themed opening thoughts which could also be used as epilogues.
- Four group activities: Based on women in the lineage of Jesus who passed on faith.
Each session includes:
- A central theme
- Key Scripture
- Time outline
- Icebreakers and practical suggestions to help apply the lessons discussed
- Encouragement for those in our gatherings to grow in confidence, as they develop their abilities and talents, to share the ideas with one another.
Final encouragement
The resource invites women to embark on a spiritual journey together, encouraging one another and building each other up. The Inspirations Subgroup prays that women of all ages and stages in life will be strengthened and encouraged as they serve him in their congregation and community.
