Care Services

Gray's Court

Opened in 2000, Gray’s Court was the response to a need identified by staff at Carlisle House Addiction Rehabilitation Unit. It was developed to meet the need of those in early recovery from addiction who were homeless or living in situations that made recovery difficult. The project is a partnership between the Council for Social Witness and Habinteg Housing Association, with support from the United Appeal.

About Gray's Court

Gray’s Court offers short-term supported living in seven one-bedroom flats, with stays of up to two years. Managed by Carlisle House, the project provides a range of therapies, emotional and practical support and a Life Long Learning programme. Each resident is helped to create a personal recovery plan, which may include work or training.

A project worker is available on weekdays, with out-of-hours support provided through the Carlisle House Helpline. Weekly support groups are also part of the programme.

The project is registered with RQIA which undertakes regular inspections. Reports can be found at www.rqia.org.uk. Housing benefit usually covers accommodation costs.
