Training for Leaders/Helpers/Volunteers, Kirk Session and Designated Persons.

Presbytery safeguarding training for leaders, helpers and volunteers

Child Safeguarding training is being rolled out in May 2026. This training helps to provide a basic understanding of child safeguarding and is a requirement for all leaders, helpers and volunteers who are working with children and young people within PCI. Child safeguarding training is being rolled out at a Presbytery level. Each session will be capped at 80 spaces.

We have added additional training dates for the month of June, please note the following:

Booking is not required, however, as previously noted, it is the responsibility of each designated person/kirk session to record attendance of volunteers/leaders within their congregation.

Please prioritise leaders/volunteers who have not completed safeguarding training within the last three years, including new leaders or leaders helping with summer activities, e.g. holiday Bible clubs.

Training will not take place during July or August, but will resume in September.
