Leading Small Groups

Helping leaders grow healthy small groups

Small groups provide a unique space for discipleship. They help us go deeper in Bible study, grow closer in fellowship and pray with others in ways that shape everyday faith. They are one of the most effective ways to nurture genuine community within the church.

Leading these groups well is important. This resource provides encouragement and practical help for those called to guide conversations, ask good questions and create an environment where everyone feels able to contribute.

About the Resource

This guide gives practical advice for small group leaders, showing how to shape groups that are fit for purpose. It offers very practical pointers on how to facilitate conversation and encourage participation.

It includes:

  • A training video to equip leaders
  • A short leaflet offering top tips for small group facilitation

To order the leaflet contact the Council for Congregational Life and Witness office for more details.
