Exploring the meaning of baptism together

Baptism: A gift of grace

Baptism marks a great moment in the lives of parents, children, adults and the whole congregation. It gives us a glimpse of how God is at work, pointing us to the big truths of faith: God as our heavenly Father, Jesus as our Saviour and the Holy Spirit as the one who empowers us to live by grace.

There are many understandings about baptism, what it means, who it is for and how it makes a difference in our lives. This set of resources offers simple, accessible material to help parents, adults, young people and congregations better understand the sacrament.

It provides a first word rather than a last word, leaving room for congregations to adapt and amplify the material in ways that best suit their context.
