This resource contains helpful information and practical guidelines for those currently serving or considering serving as Clerk of Session.
Developed by the Elders’ Panel of the Council for Congregational Life and Witness, it’s designed to support Clerks in their role and offer clarity around responsibilities and expectations.
It’s especially useful for those new to the role but may also provide a helpful refresher for more experienced Clerks. The opening section, which outlines the core aspects of the Clerk’s role, can also be shared with Kirk Sessions as they prayerfully consider new appointments.
