Mentoring young people

Supporting young people through intentional, one-to-one discipleship

In recent years, there has been growing interest in mentoring young people within churches. Mentoring creates space for meaningful conversations, personal support and intentional discipleship. But often the biggest hurdle is knowing where to begin.

This short film introduces mentoring in a church context. Rick Hill shares why it matters and offers practical suggestions for getting started. You’ll also hear personal reflections from youth worker Johnny Bell at Saintfield Road Presbyterian and from Debbie, Bethany and Chloe who are involved in mentoring there.
