is seeking to appoint a

COMMUNITY OUTREACH WORKER

Donabate Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian church in North County Dublin.  We are seeking to appoint a full-time Community Outreach Worker on a three-year fixed-term contract. The role will have three main aspects: 

1. Helping to develop the Church’s outreach to the local community.
2. Overseeing and leading outreach to the young people of the peninsula.
3. Doing exploratory groundwork for a possible future Church plant in the North County Dublin area. 
    

The person we are looking for will have:

• Experience of leading in Bible study groups and ‘from the front’ in Church-based youth groups.
• Experience of training and leading others in personal and group evangelism.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A clear understanding of the need to equip the local Church to serve the local community.
• Experience working in a team of volunteers.
• Ability to be self-motivated and willingness to adapt to new situations. 
   

Terms:

• 3 Year fixed-term contract (including 6 month probation period).
• Salary: €42,873
• 37.5 hours per week (including Sunday mornings at Church).
• It is desirable that the person would be positioned in the locality.
• It is hoped the person appointed will take up the post no later than 1 September 2026.

On a part time basis (20 hours per week) on a 3-year contract

Salary: £24,785 - £27,377 p.a. pro rata

This unique opportunity will attract a dynamic, experienced and spiritually mature person who will help the Kirk Session to implement their on-going vision and passion for the young people within our congregation.

The nature of this post will require evening and weekend work.
