Donabate Presbyterian Church - Community Outreach Worker
About the role
Donabate Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian church in North County Dublin. We are seeking to appoint a Community Outreach Worker on a three-year fixed-term contract. The role will have three main aspects:
- Helping to develop the Church’s outreach to the local community.
- Overseeing and leading outreach to the young people of the peninsula.
- Doing exploratory groundwork for a possible future Church plant in the North County Dublin area.
The person we are looking for
- Experience of leading in Bible study groups and ‘from the front’ in Church-based youth groups.
- Experience of training and leading others in personal and group evangelism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A clear understanding of the need to equip the local Church to serve the local community.
- Experience working in a team of volunteers.
- Ability to be self-motivated and willingness to adapt to new situations.
Terms
- 3 Year fixed-term contract (including 6-month probation period).
- Salary: €42,873 full-time (or pro-rated depending on number of hours)
- Up to 37.5 hours and a minimum of 18.75 per week (including Sunday mornings at Church). Flexibility around hours of work
- It is desirable that the person would be positioned in the locality.
- It is hoped the person appointed will take up the post no later than 1 December 2026
