Four Church Leaders Call to Ireland

Following a meeting in Armagh yesterday, Monday 17 August, the leaders of the four main Churches have called people throughout Ireland to express their sympathy and solidarity with the people of Omagh next Saturday, August 22.

Where possible they request local clergy to organise an appropriate act of reflection involving all the churches in their area.

The Four Leaders will be joining with the community in Omagh for an act of prayerful reflection organised by the local clergy at 2.45pm at a venue to be decided. This will culminate in a time of silence at 3.10pm.

It is suggested that a minute's silence be observed at 3.10pm throughout the island.
