'The Big Gig'

Music, mime, dance, fireworks, lasers, food... The Big Gig is coming to Belfast! On Saturday 12th September 1998, thousands of young people will descend upon Valley Park, (near the Valley Leisure Centre) Newtownabbey, where they will be treated to a spectacular feast of entertainment from 7.00 p.m. 'til late.

This cross community, free, open air event has been organised by The North Belfast Presbytery Youth Council of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland along with the Antrim Road Clergy Fellowship.

Music will come from guest bands including Emmaus and December Blue and a huge fireworks display has been arranged for the finale of the evening.

Rev. Tom Wilson, Associate Minister of Rosemary Presbyterian Church in North Belfast, and one of the organisers, is very excited about the concert. "This is the first time we have ever done anything like this and we are hoping to bring together people of all ages and from all backgrounds. It really will be a great night out and we hope to see crowds of people - young and old - come along to join in the fun."

For further information, please contact Rev. Wilson, telephone 01232 365897.
