Presbyterian Mission is Your Mission
Mission at home and overseas is at the heart of United Appeal.
The money that you generously give supports everything from training ministers, Sunday School teachers and youth workers to supporting smaller congregations around Ireland in continuing their witness. It means our church can respond to requests from partner churches overseas for skilled assistance and show Christ's love in action here at home through social witness programmes as well as a whole lot more.
You can read about more of what is being done through your giving to United Appeal in this leaflet and see the ministries you are supporting in the short films that you will see at your Church or online.
It is a strong Presbyterian principle to work together and help one another in our Christian witness and United Appeal is one way that happens.
It is us responding to our Lord’s great commission: "Go and make disciples of all nations" and to his great command: "Love your neighbour as yourself".
Through your generosity United Appeal expects to contribute £3,309,654 (€3,797,381) to fund this mission outreach of our church in 2010.
It's a "target of honour" that we hope your commitment to giving in a biblical manner will help us achieve.
United Appeal recognises that there are many claims on all our limited earnings. However we believe that through the shared desire to further the advance of the Gospel the target will be achieved and so God's mission will continue.
