United Appeal

Mission is at the heart of the entire ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

That’s why United Appeal is so important. It brings together resources including prayer and financial giving, to help support PCI’s work not just across Ireland, but globally as well.

From witnessing to local communities and helping through social action to training our leaders and working in partnership with other churches around the world, the United Appeal helps to keep mission at the core of PCI values.

World Development Appeal

This year’s World Development Appeal ‘Let Justice Flow: Speak Up! Speak Out!’ supports projects of Christian Aid and Tearfund. The projects being highlighted are in Egypt, where advocacy training and development support are provided to marginalised communities by both the relief and development wing of the Coptic Orthodox Church (COC Bless) and the Coptic Evangelical Organisation for Social Services (CEOSS).

The 2012-2013 Appeal will also support the community advocacy training and development work being carried out by the United Mission to Nepal.

Materials are available for congregations including leaflets, envelopes and posters which were distributed to Presbytery via World Development agents. Information and resources to promote the Appeal are available at www.pcimissionoverseas.org/world-development.
